Ministry of Education Introduces Training Program for Administrators Transitioning to Teaching
Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the launch of “The ‘Tamheen” program to empower teacher preparation pathways for all job paths in school under its continuing commitment to improve faculty performance following a training pathway called ‘tamkeen‘. It is directed towards the administrative staff in public schools and the ministry, to qualify them for teaching.
The Tamkeen pathway is a fully inclusive training route for school support staff who wish to move into teaching, providing them with the required educational knowledge, skills and classroom-based experience. This program is under the supervision of qualified experts from the Training and Development Center, as well as ministries bodies concerned with its specializations which shows MOE’s interest to provide qualitative training opportunities in line with developing human resources, creating career pathways for workers within education sector.
Applications for the Tamkeen Pathway closes on September 19th, 2024. The training starts in October 2024 and extends until May 2025. In addition, participants will enjoy a number of advantages: maintaining the salary and financial incentives during full-time education for this time; transition to academic staff at the end of qualification upon successful completion of training — all factors speak in favor of significant career advances.
Only current administrative staff in public universities and cantons, Qatari’s as well those of children to a parents or a parent GCC citizens They must be baccaluareate degree holders of a any non-educational course and their rating in the most recent performance evaluation form for at least very good (VS).
Furthermore, candidates have to demonstrate proficiency in Arabic and submit an essay answering why they’re looking into the pathway also pass a personal interview.
One of these paths is the establishment of a path called (Tamkeen) as part of the program known by (to enable )which was designed to attract Qatari graduates who do not have academic qualifications, and qualify them for teaching. In line with the Third National Development Strategy, this initiative fits into longer-term national visions such as Qatar National Vision 2030 and is in alignment with many objectives of the Ministry’s own Strategic Plan (2017-2022) complementary to aims set out in its strategy document: Education And Higher Education Sector Strategy 2014 — The Next Horizon.
