Second edition of Katara Space Science Program concludes with high participation
03 April 2019 Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation – Katara, in cooperation with the world MAPS International Organization concluded yesterday its activities of the Second Edition (Latin American session) of KSSP at Katara Al Thuraya Planetarium.
– Followed by three days of interactive scientific activities based for “How to Reach Outer Space” and the “Artemis Program to Return Back on Moon”, rendered by Scientists from Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) & US National Aeronautics & the Administration.
FlyRite delivered three sessions throughout the programme, which combined theoretical teaching and actual practice.
It also offered a space rocket prototype building and launching workshop with live demonstration in Al Thuraya Planetarium supervised by the visiting scientists.
Other than the scientific talks and interactive events, also on display was the second edition of ‘Cosmic Canvas- Space Art Exhibition’ – an extraordinary compilation of beautiful images associated with space research. Twenty artists participated, enriching the exploration of space in new ways.
The second version of the program gathered significant attendance, with over 400 students representing more than 80 schools below in Qatar as well dignitaries from diverse corporate houses.
Thus event provided scientific platform for students as well young lot by several wide variety discussions, vivid interactive workshops and notable presentations. Over the years, the active participation from attendees stood out as an indication of how much promise we have in budding young scientists.
